Wind power is one of the lowest-priced forms of energy available today. This industry has also created good jobs and pairs well with existing farms. This affordable, clean energy source will continue to grow.
A significant portion of the energy produced in our region currently comes from nuclear. Though it’s not a perfect energy source, nuclear does not emit greenhouse gases nor contribute to climate change.
Hydroelectric Power has historically been an important source of energy for our region, and it will continue to provide inexpensive, reliable, and renewable electricity for as long as the Genesee continues to flow.

Even with our long winters and overcast skies, solar power provides an effective and affordable source of energy for our region. Solar projects large and small bring revenue and energy independence to local communities.
We're leading the way in producing carbon-free electricity to meet our energy needs. When we “plug in” to the grid we get all of the associated benefits of that clean energy.
Electrifying our buildings and vehicles will increase demand for electricity. Our local power grid is safe and reliable. Significant investments have been and will continue to be made toward meeting the growing needs of beneficial electrification.
